Well, I am so reluctant to give a bad review. I think the author had something worthwhile to say. BUT I had a really hard time following his thought process as it seemed he bounced around a lot. I'm sure someone will get something out if the book....some one who thinks like him?Product details

This book is interesting and gives a fuller meaning of the cross of Calvary... the separation of this world and the heavenly home ahead of us and our journey there.
The old hymn by Fanny J. Crosby reflects the superb treatment given the Cross by Andrew Murray in The Cross of Christ when she pens,
"Jesus, keep me near the cross,
There a precious fountain—
Free to all, a healing stream—
Flows from Calv’ry’s mountain.
Refrain
In the cross, in the cross,
Be my glory ever;
Till my raptured soul shall find
Rest beyond the river." It is the Cross of Christ that forever atones and makes possible the crucified life. One surely will do themselves well with the purchase of Andrew Murray's treatment of The Cross of Christ.
I enjoyed the thought process of the author. He asked great questions of the text which opened my eyes to biblical truth never seen before. When a book does this I think that reason alone makes it worth the read!

Murray continually points us to the cross and the power of God. A stirring reminder of the sacrifice of Jesus.
An important and thought provoking work.

I truly enjoyed this book and the way the Cross was presented. All of the information was not new, but it was true. It is a quick read that could and should be used as a reference, although not the best of all others regarding the Cross.
This book separates " Cheap Grace" from Christianity which worships and joins the Savior in His suffering and reproduces new life through Him. As Bonhoffer wrote, there is a Cost of Discipleship. His paraphrasing of 2 Cor. 410-11 alone is worth reading the book for.
