This is a good, quick-hit (and dark) short story I read during my lunch break at work, which is ironic considering the scene of this story. While taking less than five minutes to read, the author quickly get you having a visual of the surroundings and situations, and left it with a different ending than you would expect. If you enjoy reading a well-written short story, I would recommend this one especially since it is free here in the Amazon Kindle store.Product details

Fine Wine A Tale of the Assassin Without a Name #1 eBook Scott Marlowe Reviews
A better than average vintage, with a mild aroma and a subtle yet bold taste. Best served chilled, and taken in small sips. Could have benefitted from additional aging, but on balance an entirely acceptable beverage. I recommend it!
Hi! If you like assassin books, you will love Fine Wine. It is a great little short story and no wine was harmed in the writing of this book.
This is an amusing tale for someone who likes both wine and Fantasy (like me). It reminds me of the Fritz Lieber Fantasy series about the extraordinary thief, HThe Gray Mouser and his Barbarian sidekick Fafrrd.
This was a great little story. It was kind of funny, in its own odd way. An assassin who loves great wine. Whodda thunk it? I would recommend this story. I'm fairly certain I'll be reading more from this author.
It was a good short story. Didn't leave me with a sense of mystery though or a "what happens next" feel. I generally prefer it if they do. This one was pretty neat and concise with a somewhat intriguing plot. So if you want a decent short read that's all contained, go for it.
Author sucked me into the story with aplomb given what appeared to be a grisly scenario only to flip it sunny-side up with comic dialogue making for a great, short read. I'll definitely be looking for more material from this author as he comes up with some clever material!
I'm a sucker for assassin stories, and decided to give this one a shot. For a short story/flash fiction, I thought it was good, but I think there could've been a little less dialogue and a little more action. The hero, who is an assassin has been tasked to kill a merchant, but the twist at the end of the story leaves one to wonder the hero's motives and his true 'skill' in the deathly arts (and also adds a nice touch to showcase the hero's weakness).
The story itself is essentially dialogue between the assassin and the merchant, but I think the author could have done so much more with the 1500 or so words to really make this short piece moving.
