Dark Souls Tales of Ember #2 eBook George Mann Tauriq Moosa Alan Quah Michael Walsh Daniel Serra Damien Worm Caspar Wijngaard Reviews
Right when I was about to type this review, I saw the first reviewer of this comic felt the same way this comic is better than the first Tales of Ember comic.
For one, these short stories capture the game better than the other Dark Souls comics I've read. I read Volume 1, Volume 2, and Tales of Ether #1- though they were okay stories, they didn't seem to fully fit into Dark Souls and just read like random dark fantasy stories. These stories, however, show more of an effort to capture real elements in the DS universe. From the player's perspective to the perspective of the undead, the story and art is set with more respect and knowledge of the games themselves. They're also entertaining and the plots are better as a whole. The best so far, and if they do continue to make Dark Souls comics, I hope future writers make more of an effort to follow this comic's example and be as familiar with the DS games as possible.
